David L. Auchterlonie
Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Auchterlonie joined Leprechaun, LLC in November 2007 as Chief Executive Officer.
His 38 years of business experience includes extensive healthcare credentials involving technology, health plan, delivery, insurance, provider systems, and home healthcare.
In addition, Mr. Auchterlonie has substantial financial experience both as a financial officer in public companies and as a senior audit manager with Price Waterhouse.
His credentials include growing businesses, restructurings, merger and acquisitions, product line development, and capital formation.
He is a frequent speaker and author on a variety of topics involving healthcare and corporate renewal.
Jack McCallum, M.D., Ph.D.
President and Chief Medical Officer
Dr. McCallum graduated from Georgia Tech and Emory University School of Medicine. He subsequently completed internship and residency training in internal medicine, general surgery, and adult and pediatric neurosurgery in Boston, Atlanta, and Pittsburgh. He holds board certifications in both adult and pediatric neurosurgery and has served as chief of neurosurgery at Harris Hospital, director of neuroscience at Baylor All Saints Medical Center, and chief of staff at Cooks Childrens Hospital, all in Fort Worth. He has spoken at national neurosurgical and surgical conferences and his research has been published in major surgical and neurosurgical journals.
He was a founding board member of North Texas Specialty Physicians and a long-standing officer in that organization. He was also a founder of Integration Concepts, a firm that developed and patented unique processes for medical data aggregation and management. As chief medical officer for Silverback, LLC he has created the logic rules engine for Leprechaun's HCC risk adjustment model.
Dr. McCallum also holds a doctorate in history and teaches at TCU. He has lectured and published extensively in the areas of American, military, and medical history.
Susan Rawlings
Chief Operating Officer
Susan Rawlings joined Leprechaun in August 2008 and brings an extensive background in healthcare development and management includes finance, program development, strategies and service integration within the insurance, Medicare and healthcare industries. As Senior Vice President and President, Senior Business at WellPoint, Inc., she was responsible for Senior Business P&L, created and launched new Part D products and enhanced and fostered relationships with the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
With over 20 years of progressive leadership in the healthcare industry - seventeen of those years in Medicare leadership - Rawlings brings expertise through experience. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Arizona, and is also a CPA.
John Nix
Chief Financial Officer
John M. Nix joined Leprechaun in November 2007. He is primarily responsible for managing the financial risks of Leprechaun. Additionally, he oversees and directs the financial planning, performance measures, audits and reporting to ensure an overall corporate bearing.
Mr. Nix began his career with Price Waterhouse & Co in their tax and audit groups. Prior to assuming his duties with the company, he held positions of increasing levels of responsibility with nationally based Financial Management consulting firms (Parson Consulting and DLC) as well as Division Controller for a unit of Fortune 500 manufacturing conglomerate SPX.
Mr. Nix received his B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Missouri and is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the state of Texas.
Regina Berman
Chief Quality Officer
Regina Berman is the Vice President of Professional Services and Chief Quality Officer (CQO) for Leprechaun, LLC, where she oversees the professional review services including training, production and quality assessment processes. She has organization-wide responsibility for ensuring the development and execution of systematic process management and performance excellence.
Ms. Berman has held a variety of senior management positions involving new clinical program development, quality oversight, case management and health system development, and has worked closely with health plans, health systems and regulatory groups.
Regina has served as the Chair of New Jersey's State quality program, and was an active Member of the Board of Examiners for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Program. She is a Diplomat of the American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians (ABQAURP) and a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) of the National Association for Healthcare Quality. She also served on the advisory board for the National Committee for Quality Healthcare (NCQHC) currently the National Quality Forum (NQF) Executive Institute and Performance Measurement Task Force. As a prominent speaker, Ms. Berman extends her expertise on such topics as: Performance Measurement Improvement Strategies; Process & Redesign and Information Management; Public Reporting Strategies; and Pay for Performance; to name a few.
Regina Berman holds a Graduate Degree from New York University with a concentration in Quality and Delivery of Patient Care Services.
Jim Stalder
Chief Information Officer
Jim Stalder has been involved in many different aspects of the technology industry for over 20 years. Before joining Leprechaun, he was the Chief Information Officer (CIO) for Mercy Health Services - a $500M healthcare provider headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland. Jim was responsible for the technology strategy for Mercy's acute care hospital, dozens of physician practices, and a long term care facility. He led Mercy through the implementation of electronic medical records and led the technology design of a new 750,000 sq. ft. digital hospital in downtown Baltimore.
Prior to the health care industry, Jim held leadership positions at USinternetworking and Digex - where, among other roles, he was responsible for strategy and product development. At Digex and USinternetworking, Jim was responsible for developing and launching several product lines which contributed to both organizations completing initial public offerings. Jim also spent several years at Andersen Consulting (Accenture) working with large scale custom application development projects in the telecommunications industry. Jim received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Duke University.
Bill McCallum
Chief of Research & Design
Mr. McCallum has 20 years of senior management experience assisting providers groups, hospital systems, third party administrators and health plans with business intelligence, process improvement and strategic planning. Bill has created multiple products to measure physician productivity, improve utilizations and track quality. He has authored multiple Healthcare patents.
Prior to becoming a founding partner in Leprechaun, Bill was CEO of Integration Concepts a healthcare data analysis firm. ICI applied state-of-the-art technology to simplify complex business problems.
Mr. McCallum has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Texas Technological University.
Alan Stine
Chief Technology Officer
As Leprechaun's Chief Technology Officer, Alan Stine guides the overall design of the company's growing data processing infrastructure. Alan works closely with the company's Software Engineering, and Research Teams to promote and implement leading-edge innovations on these critical development and production systems. Additionally, he plays a key strategic role bringing Leprechaun's newest technologies into the marketplace.
Alan is a founding partner of Leprechaun, with 21 years of experience in the IT industry and 11 years of developing and implementing analytical warehousing systems specifically for health care data. Prior to Leprechaun, Alan worked at IHMA (along with Leprechaun co-founder William McCallum) where, as VP of Technology, he led key technology initiatives, including development of multi-dimensional health care data warehousing systems, web reporting systems, and data center operations. Alan has also been a consultant and developer in the pharmaceutical industry where he designed and developed data capture and analytical systems used in drug study programs.
Alan brings almost 14 years of high-reliability / high-availability communications experience at Dow Jones & Company to his role at Leprechaun. While at Dow Jones he served in numerous capacities, including System Architect, developing and deploying Internet and Web-based data distribution systems and managing other process improvement projects.
Alan's current duties include managing Leprechaun's critical data processing systems and technology strategies. His post-graduate education includes post-graduate coursework at Southern Methodist University and the University of Texas at Arlington.
